FF&E stands for Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment in the world of Interior Design, construction, and Architecture.
Some companies are using the term FF&A which stands for Furniture, Fixtures, and Accessories.
They are all the items that refer to any “movable decoration” placed in a room after the building works are completed. These items are not “fixed” to the construction, or any embedded furniture/cupboard.
FF&E Documents can also be called “Interior Styling Pack”, “specification lists”, “schedules”, “decoration pack”, “Shopping List”
Interior Styling has also a component on “how” the decorative elements are displayed to evoke a feeling: cosy, work, play.
In general terms, FF&E items can be referred to as the “Interior Styling Selection” of a room.
The creation of FF&E Documents are based on the Design Concept which sets the mood and vision, Room sizes, User needs and budget for the project.
